Residential - 2023 - Turks and Caicos - On Site

Set on an elevated site at the western tip of Long Bay Beach, this 10-bedroom private residence occupies a prominent position above the dune line, overlooking panoramic views across the Caicos Bank. The design responds directly to its dramatic coastal setting, with the shifting qualities of sea, sky, and approaching weather systems informing the architectural composition. A key ambition of the scheme was to capture these changing atmospheric conditions while carefully considering the villa’s visual presence from the beach below.

My involvement in the project spanned both design coordination and technical development. I took an active role in client meetings, contributing to discussions and recording meeting minutes to ensure design decisions were clearly communicated and carried through the project. I produced visualisations of the scheme, including a video flythrough used to communicate the spatial experience of the design, and developed detailed section drawings for planning submission, which were later refined through Stage 4 technical design. My role also included coordinating material, lighting, and appliance specifications, helping to align the architectural vision with the practical and aesthetic requirements of the finished home.
