Masterplan - 2021 - Turks and Caicos - Completed
This complex 32-acre masterplan consists of a collection of 19 Ocean Villas, 19 Lagoon Houses, 38 Boathouses, and 12 condominiums. The project integrates residential architecture across four distinct natural environments: an Ironshore, a dune, a lagoon, and a peninsula. Each typology is designed to respond to its specific micro geography - from the Dune Villas, which nestle into natural hollows, to the Lagoon Houses, which sit raised above the water's edge. At the heart of the scheme, a man-made lagoon and marina facilitate a life centered around the ocean and an adventurous spirit.
This was one of the initial projects I contributed to, focusing on the refined architectural elements that tie the masterplan together. I worked through the detailed design of key site features, including a bespoke footbridge and an outdoor firepit, ensuring these structural interventions sat harmoniously within the rugged landscape. Additionally, I focused on the shared amenity gym space, developing the design from early CAD layouts into high-fidelity 3D models. The internal renders shown above show the result of this process, where I used detailed modelling to highlight and refine material junctions and spatial flow, producing realistic visuals that were essential for the final design stages.
Key Contributions
Detailed Design Development, focusing on site-wide architectural features including a footbridge and outdoor firepit.
Amenity Space Design, working through the 3D modeling and layout of the shared gym facility.
Technical CAD & 3D Modeling, refining complex architectural elements to ensure structural and aesthetic coherence.
High-Fidelity Visualization, producing realistic renders to test and communicate design refinements to the wider team and client.
Masterplan Integration, ensuring small-scale architectural interventions aligned with the overarching vision of the four unique natural environments.
