Masterplan - 2025 - Barbados - Stage 3

This masterplan development in Barbados focuses on a high-end residential estate featuring two primary typologies: the Pool Pavilion and the larger Grand Pavilion. Both villas are single-storey, three-bedroom retreats.

Pool Pavilion

The Pool Pavilion is designed as a secluded sanctuary, featuring 4 beds, a deep-set verandah entry and a large rear pool, this configuration creates a wide central living space, that serves as the heart of the home while protecting the privacy of the sleeping quarters.

Grand Pavilion

The Grand Pavilion serves as the estate's flagship typology, occupying a much larger and more expansive footprint at the highest points of the site. Positioned to overlook the course, these villas utilize a lower architectural profile with single sloping roofs to sit the buildings sensitively within the natural landscape. The design prioritizes a seamless indoor-outdoor transition, allowing the elevated views to become a central feature of the internal living experience. My work involved the comprehensive setting out of these lots across the large-scale masterplan, ensuring each villa was positioned to optimize the topography and unique site orientation.

Key Contributions

  • Masterplan Coordination, managing the precise setting out of multiple lots to maximize privacy and environmental response across the site topography.

  • Architectural Package Development, producing the full suite of plans, sections, and elevations for both the Palm and Grand Pavilion typologies.

  • Technical 3D Modeling, resolving the intersection of expansive exterior covered spaces and the single sloping roof profiles.

  • Internal Spatial Design, developing the layout and materiality for high-end suites and social wings in alignment with the masterplan vision.

  • Marketing Visualization, producing high-quality brochure renders for client-side presentations and global real estate sales.

  • Landscape Integration, refining the low-profile elevations of the Grand Pavilions to ensure they sit harmoniously within the Barbados landscape.
